Looking for a beach club to spend your afternoon? Look no more, La Ola is the place to go when visiting Palomino. It's the place to spend your sunny beach day with good vibes, play beach tennis and enjoy good food and drinks.

La Ola is located at the end of 10th street, between Finca Escondida and Selina Hostel. You can enter directly from the beach or from the 10th street. La Ola is spanish for 'The wave' which explains the good vibes and the local surfers at this spot. If you're lucky, claim one of their beach beds to have some shade and your own little hide out at sea. Go there for lunch and stick around for the afternoon surf. La Ola is the home of the Palomino Surf, a club runned by local surfers. At the end of the day, at 4-5, you'll see them catching waves or giving classes to local kids and tourists. It's so much fun to see! Laura decided to join them for a class and was able to stand up on the longboard, riding waves like a pro ;).

Fresh and Local

The menu of La Ola is based on fresh and local products and tropical fruits. During the entire week you can order both starters as main dishes. We really enjoyed the coctel de camarones (shrimp cocktail) and the pargo (snapper). When at sea, eat fish! In the weekends they serve really good sushi (fish and veggie). At the bar they can make you great cocktail classics like Mojito, Piña Colada, and Margarita. To keep you healthy and hydrated I'd recommend trying one of their fresh juices. For a dessert go for a homemade milkshake.
